FAQ
How long are the tours?
Most of our downtown Asheville walking tours last 90–120 minutes and cover approximately one mile at a relaxed pace. We make frequent stops for storytelling, photos, and questions.
Are the tours family friendly?
Our Downtown Walking Tour and Music History Tour are great for families. The Riverside Cemetery Ghost Tour is recommended for ages 12+ due to mature themes.
How much walking is involved?
Tours typically cover about one mile on paved sidewalks and pathways. We walk at a comfortable pace and pause often. They are wheelchair accessible; however, some find the distance difficult for the walking tours.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water, and your curiosity about Asheville!
Are the tours dog friendly?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on most outdoor tours, including our downtown walking tour. The ghost tour is the only tour where they are not allowed due to cemetery rules.
Where should I park?
When you book, we will send parking recommendations, but also happy to help if you need depending on which tour you've booked!
